  • 2021
  • March 2021 – Nasty Women will be published in French by Montreal-based Edition Hashtag.
  • April 2021 – Edinburgh Studio Opera’s The Remarkable Rocket, featuring direction and some lyrics by me, goes live!
  • June 2021 – Edinburgh Acting School’s Performance class presents Ellen McLaughlin’s adaptation of Lysistrata, under the direction of the brilliant Flavia D’Avila and with coaching from me.
  • June/July 2021 – New interactive show Danger DuVall: Space/Time Adventurer gets a pilot outing at with Theatre Sans Accents, with Artistic Director Marion Geoffray in the role of Danger! Supported by YTAS, Imaginate, North Edinbrugh Arts and WHALE Arts.
  • July/August 2021 – I’m working with Hopscotch Theatre on Hannah Lavery’s The Unseen Child, creating a digital experience for schools.
  • August 6 2021 – Izzy Gray’s new piece Sea Glass gets a rehearsed reading at Page 2 Stage Edinburgh as part of Army @ the Fringe, with me directing.
  • 24 August 2021 – Edinburgh Literary Salon’s anthology, Lost, Looking & Found, launches, featuring one of my stories about a ghost with an identity crisis. (Yes, I have multiple stories about ghosts having identity crises.)
  • 15 September 2021 – Tarot-inspired one-to-one comic horror experience Meet Your Doom debuts on the opening night of Hidden Door! Catch me if you can for this walkabout performance, with card art by Mark Bolsover.
  • 22 September 2021 – I’ll be appearing in a live panel game show, The Literal Flow Test, at Dock Street Studios in Dundee as part of the Dundee Fringe.
  • September 2021 – My new radio short will be produced by Birds of Paradise/Perth Theatre and broadcast on EHFM. More details soon!
  • October 2021 – If you’re on Leith Walk on the 9th/10th, keep an eye out for me at the Leith Police Box where I’ll be doing some personalised storytelling to support Monochrome Maud’s Fortune Series exhibition.
  • October 2021 – Celebrating the spookiest time of the year with Pitlochry Festival Theatre! Ghost Stories is a trio of new plays inspired by Perthshire folklore, written by me, Martin McCormick and Maryam Hamidi. 
  • November 2021 – 2021 marks 700 years since the death of Dante Alighieri, so Fronteiras Theatre Lab, Dundee University and the Being Human Festival will be teaming up to present A Dead Poet’s Tour of Dundee (or as the project has been nicknamed, DanTay), with text by me.

  • 8 March 2018 – Catch an early glimpse of my new spoken word show at the Summerhall Scratch.
  • 21/22 April 2018 – Fancy sharpening your Shakespeare skills? I’m teaching a weekend workshop for Edinburgh Acting School.
  • 25 – 28 May 2018 – Old Bones will be at the Prague Fringe, performed by Daniel Hird.
  • 31 May 2018 – Two gigs in a row at Hidden Door! First up is Poetry as Fuck’s Ferrero Rocher-themed spoken word murder mystery The Ambassador’s Receptionand Interrobang’s The Edinburgh Bible.
  • 2 June 2018 – The debut of my new solo show Star Cuddie, a story of stubbornness and stellar spectra developed with support from Illicit Ink.
  • 18 & 19 June 2018 – Edinburgh Acting School’s Performance Class will present my adaptation of Tartuffe at the Churchill Theatre.
  • July 2018 – Old Bones goes to Buxton Fringe, appearing at The Green Man Gallery.
  • August 2018 – HEAVEN BURNS, winner of the ART Award will debut at the Edinburgh Fringe! On at Assembly Roxy from 2 – 26th.
  • 23 October 2018 – Marbles Mag #4 launches at the Scottish Poetry Library, featuring a reading from me.
  • 1 December 2018 – The new draft of Volante gets a reading at the Edinburgh Multilingual Stories Festival.

  • March 2017, touring – Charioteer Theatre will be taking #SonsOfGod: Vox on tour in Italy.
  • March 2017 – Jen will be contributing a personal essay on contraception and bodily autonomy to 404 Ink’s first anthology, Nasty Women. She’ll be taking part in a panel discussion at the launch event Waterstones Argyle Street, Glasgow on 6 March.
  • 7 March 2017 – Jen will be reading at Inky Fingers.
  • 13 March 2017 – Prior to the performance of #SonsOfGod at Sala Umberto in Rome, Jen will be taking part in a Meet the Playwright event.
  • 22 March 2017 – Jen will be signing copies of Nasty Women at the Edinburgh launch event at Waterstone’s on Princes Street.
  • 4 April 2017 – Jen will be back at Inky Fingers at Monkey Barrel.
  • 20 April 2017 – Jen will be discussing the concept of the trigger warning with Richard Warden and Hannah McGill at the Dust of Everyday Life conference at the CCA.
  • 13 May 2017 – IberoDocs is screening Pára-me de Repente o Pensamento at the Filmhouse with a panel discussion aftertwards. Jen will be joining the panel.
  • 26 May 2017 –  Jen joins Interrobang at Hidden Door for Ghosts of the Citadel.
  • 6 June 2017 – Come to Inky Fingers at Monkey Barrel to see Jen in the feature slot.
  • 7 June 2017 – The most bonkers gig of the year so far! Jen will be flyting against Ross McCleary on the subject of the Earth’s roundness/flatness at the Scottish Storytelling Centre.
  • 24 June – Jen will feature in an all-Nasty-Women line-up for Interrobang’s Now Is Not the Time at Biscuit Factory.
  • 7 July 2017 – Flint & Pitch presents Francesca Beard’s How to Survive a Post-Truth Apocalypse, with support from Jen who will be presenting her work in progress, Grave.
  • 28 July – Catch Jen at Biscuit Factory for the Edinburgh launch of Hings, the debut book of superstar in the making Chris McQueer. Hosted by Interrobang, published by 404 Ink, it would be difficult for this event to spoil its audience more.
  • 30 July – There’s a new spoken word night in town and it’s called Wax Lyrical. Come and satisfy your curiosity, Jen will be doing a slot.
  • 12 August – Not the spoken word show but the short story it’s based on! Jen will be reading Grave at Story Shop at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
  • 17 September 2017 – Caring and Sharing will be part of the lineup for Black Cat Theatre’s The Millennials at Southwark Playhouse
  • 12 October 2017 – An excerpt from current work in progress Second Child will be shared at Imaginate’s Scratch That! event at Summerhall.
  • 18 October 2017 – Getting into the spirit of the season, Jen will be getting ghostly in an open mic spot for Spoken Word @ The Dick.
  • 20 October 2017 – Jen will be joining fellow Nasty Women Becca Inglis and Alice Tarbuck at the Dundee Literary Festival.
  • 25 October 2017 – A bit of spooky open mic-ing at Encrypted Newbattle.
  • 26 October 2017 – Jen will be on the bill at the Freakeasy Hallowe’en Special.
  • 1 November 2017 – Catch Jen sharing the stage with Ren Aldridge from Petrol Girls at The List Hot 100 party!
  • 11 November 2017 – Old Woman With Masks will feature as part of Best of Bolton at the Bolton Octagon.
  • November 2017 – Jen will be undertaking a BOP Artists residency, developing a new piece about grief, psychosis and video games.
  • 21 November 2017 – Old Bones, a solo show about dicing with the Devil performed by Daniel Hird, will make its first appearance in Dundee.
  • 24 November 2017 – A spectacularly bonkers collaboration between Interrobang and Poetry as Fuck, set in the Ferrero Rocher Extended Universe: The Ambassador’s Reception.
  • 8 December 2017 – Jen’s adaptation of Miss Julie will be staged at Hofstra University.
  • 17 December 2017 – Jen joins the lineup at Stories & Stovies at the Rose Theatre.
